This image is probably the best memory I have ever had underwater and likely even what I will ever have. I was waiting for mantas to arrive at a cleaning station and after waiting for over half an hour we decided to head back to shore until very shortly saw a train of 7 mantas. We quickly rushed to follow them only to see that they went to the same cleaning station we were waiting. I was so excited to see so many mantas and seeing them playfully doing their mating dance moves. Then after calming myself down I took a deep breath and dove down for a photo and when I came up I thought my new strobes were broken or something as all my photos had turned out pink. I was so confused but then just kept on going and did a second dive and the same thing happened yet again. I was frustrated but so amazed and grateful for the amazing experience. Later that day I was so bummed out and in my head went through scenarios to understand why would my photos turn so pink? Having almost deleted these photos from my camera I later found out that day that there had been a Pink Manta that had been sighted on the Island. I had never heard of a Pink Manta So I just didn't believe it and couldn't connect the dots. Only moments later I had an awakening moment and remembered that the belly patterns were similar on both mantas so I rushed to get my camera to check them out only to discover I truly had captured the world's only known Pink Manta. Still today I can't believe my luck and the amazing memory I will always have.
